I am a freelance graphic designer with two years of experience in leading advertising and design agencies. I’m passionate about helping clients create purposeful, meaningful work *because I believe great design isn’t just aesthetic; it’s a powerful tool that adds value and impact to everyday life.

I’m also really into running, and this May will be my fourth time doing the Belfast City Marathon. My goal is to eventually run the London Marathon, and I’m hoping this will be the year I finally get a spot through the ballot. After that, I think I’ll be ready to call it a day on the marathon front.

Hey, I’m Beca*

Bear is my Border Collie/English Bulldog mix, I adopted from Dogs Trust when he was just three months old. Chances are if I’m working away or on a video call with a client, he’s probably curled up next to me or snoring loudly from the sofa.

  • I was awarded Membership to the International Society of Typographic Designers for the work I did for my final university project.

  • After completing my placement year, I wanted to experience what the industry is like in a smaller agency, so I worked at Fourum part time during my final year of university. I have had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects from their initial to roll-out stages, which has helped to refine my design skills. As the team at Fourum is a lot smaller, teamwork, time management, and the ability to work on a range of different clients across different software is vital. My workday could be spent solely on InDesign creating leaflets, Illustrator creating packaging, AfterEffects working on animations, Photoshop editing photos, or across all four.

  • During my placement year I worked at Ardmore as a Junior Designer; I learnt an incredible amount about design and the industry during this year. My time keeping skills became impeccable from working in such a fast-paced agency and from the sheer amount of collaboration, my teamwork skills, which I needed daily, also improved.

  • I completed BA (Hons) Art & Design Foundation Year, before choosing to study BDes (Hons) Graphic Design & Illustration (Specialising in Graphic Design), which I got a First Class degree in. Between second year and final year I did a placement year at Ardmore Advertising and Marketing.
